Biography
❀ My Journey into the art of body movement started when I was 6 years old with ballet and contemporary dance. Growing older I learnt Latin dances and "oriental dance" (well known as "bellydance") which I completely fell in love with. Today I am a certified Oriental dance and Tribal Fusion instructor and performer living between Italy and Dubai.
❀ My roots are in South Italy and my heart is worldwide with the passion for Mediterranean folk dances and far east disciplines like yoga and Indian dances. Indeed, I got my certificates in “Indian Fusion Formation” with my dance guru Colleena Shakti and the Yoga & Breathwork Diploma RYT200.
❀ My passion for music, instead, brought me to discover the therapeutic approach of sound by studying (and still researching) the Sound Healing modalities (holistic treatments with the tibetan and crystal bowls, voice activation with drums and shamanic instruments). ❀ Today I apply these techniques in my group and private sessions where I combine movement and sound for a whole restoring experience for both body and mind.

Oriental Dance - Yoga - Sound
Why Movement & Sound
❀ The sound generates vibrations that reach the deepest level of our body and re-harmonize our energy; the movement helps to release tensions and emotions giving space to happiness and self-love. Both modalities combined create a holistic healing approach which will help you achieve a balance of the mind, body, and soul.

Oriental dance
It all began with a song..
❀ When I was a teenager I received a gift from a friend: "The book of Secrets", the seventh album produced by the artist Loreena McKennit. One of the tracks literally conquered my heart and each cells of my body. The song is called "Marco Polo" and embraces a lot of beautiful sounds played by different musical instruments where the dominants are violins and tablas.
❀ In specific, the earthy rhythm of tabla (middle eastern drum, known also as "darbouka") made my body dance and my hips move like a "bellydancer" (circles, figure eights..) That was the moment when I discovered my passion for the art of "oriental dance".

Yoga & Sound
Yoga came into my life thanks to indian dance... sound thanks to music..
❀ Practicing dance requires plenty of stretching before! When I approached Indian dance styles (to complement my studies) with my guru teacher Colleena Shakti, I jumped into those beautiful heart opening asana that brought me to know more about this philosophy. Together with physical practice I added meditation and breathwork and in some way with Oriental dance I was already prepared on how to use the breathe to flow within myself with the movement...
❀ My path into the sound as medicine started when, young age, I learned to play guitar and to sing with it. Growing older I met other different instruments like the tibetan bowls and the frame drums. It was love at first sight! Being an engineer as well I knew the physic behind the vibrations generated by the sound and I was amazed when I discovered their effect on the full body mind! My teacher Marko Zigon opened up this world to me, and today I combine these sound tools into my Vinyasa Yoga session, eventually using the drum and the voice for a more shamanic experience..
